Two board seats available in upcoming election

BHPS has two school board seats up for elections.  Anyone interested in running may come get an application at the District office From January 20th to February 3rd, 8 o'clock until 4 o'clock.  The election will take place on April 13th.

Meal pickup schedule

Students may pick up meals for five days from the Macedonia Elementary-Middle and Blackville-Hilda High School cafeterias on Monday, January 4,2021 and Monday, January 11,2021 between 12:00 and 1:00 p.m.

BHPS students will be 100% virtual January 19, 2021 through Tuesday 19, 2021

Due to the increasing numbers of COVID 19 cases, Blackville-Hilda Public Schools will be 100% virtual until Tuesday, January 19,2021. Also, all sports practices and contests are suspended until Tuesday, January 19,2021.

Quarantine Notice Information

Please contact your School Nurse immediately whenever you are tested for
COVID-19 or if you have to be in quarantine.  If you have any further questions or concerns please contact the School Nurse at 803-284-5810.

Hope Connects You: A resource for our staff and parents

Hope Connects You is an interactive screening program that allows the individual to complete a self-check questionnaire and also connects the individual with a professional counselor.

Athletic Tickets

Basketball Ticket Sales 

The Hawks basketball season begins Tuesday, December 1.  Blackville-Hilda High has teamed with GoFan to streamline the process of purchasing tickets and entering the games.  This decision was made for the purpose of alleviating the handling of cash and close contact between people.

Due to Covid 19 there are a limited number of tickets on sale for each event, and once all are sold, no one will be alllowed entrance.  Tickets for home games on Tuesdays will be available for online purchase on Sunday evenings.  Tickets for home games on Fridays will be available for online purchase on Wednesdays.   

Tickets purchased through GoFan will be visible on the consumer’s phone and will be validated at the entry doors of the gymnasium.

The concession stand will operate on a cash only basis.

Instructions on Withdrawing Students During COVID-19 in the Blackville-Hilda Public School System

I need to WITHDRAW my child

Parents –

Due to the COVID-19 virus, BHPS enrollment and withdrawal process has changed during this time.

If you need to WITHDRAW your child at Blackville-High School (grades 9-12), please send an email to Christina.Snider@barnwell19.net or if your child needs to be withdrawn at Macedonia Elementary /Middle School (grades preK-8) email Eryl.Smalls@barnwell19.net.

 (They will reply back to your email request within 24 hours.)

***You must be listed as Family #1 or Family #2 in Powerschool***

You must return all school issued books or equipment.

In your email to the Principals, please provide the following information:

  • a picture of your ID (parent/guardian) (snap a picture of your id with your phone!)
  • your child’s First and Last Name (legal name as entered in PowerrSchool)
  • your child’s Birthdate
  • the campus your child is attending
  • the name of the District and School that your child will be attending
  • a contact email and phone number so the  can contact you to complete the Withdrawal Process

If your child has a BHHS or MEMS issued books or equipment……

  • The Principal of your child’s school will instruct you as to where/when you will return the books/equipment.

Parents –

Once enrolled you will be given instructions on picking up your child’s learning packets.
